    WTB: Map light mirror stabilizer

Looking for the little thumb screw thing on the back of a map light mirror that stabilizes it against the windshield. Mine is stripped and just spins, it doesn't back out far enough to hit the windshield. I've lived with it long enough, but now it's time for a new one.

I would order it from the dealer but I cannot find it in any parts diagram. If anyone knows the part number I'd be eternally grateful, but otherwise, if you have one in good condition (and not stripped like mine) I would appreciate it. Let me know what you have, please.

    Thanks!

Yeah, there's no part # for that. I used a rubber tire valve stem cut to length.

just cut off a piece of rubber/ plastic or something. You can also try a wood dowel and sand it down smooth and same angle as the windshield and paint it black. I am sure you can find the right size diameter for it. you might want to glue a little felt or rubber at the end.

Thanks, I'm kind of an OEM freak, but will definitely fab something up if I don't get any hits.

the maplight mirror is desirable. i think no one will part it out unless it has a broken mirror... but who knows...

Never know, someone might find half of it at the 'yard or something with a good stabilizer. Figured I'd ask.

Thanks for the offer, but I have the mirror already so I'm going to pass.
