Need: Gas fuel tank for my 1988 325is --NJ--

Just got my first e30 a week or so ago. The tank is leaking, ive been getting worse mileage then id guess but i dont think its leaking a lot. I am just looking for a good condition gas tank that will fit my '88 325is.

I need this asap if I cant find it within the week i will probably get one from a local auto salvage place, but they bend you over. Must be in NJ, I work and go to school fulltime so evenings are best for me.

PM me then we can arrange something.

Adam: Gutenparts ... so you can look them up at www.gutenparts.com or email Levent@gutenparts.com. He might have one for sale or know of someone closer to your location in NJ.

If you need parts you can also look up blunttech.com or email steve@blunttech.com.

BMW parts can be spendy ... but I'm sure you'll find something.

you can get a brand new one at an autoparts store for under $200

it's not exactly cheap for a student, but if you're paying half that for a used one that could have rust in it, and given the amount of work involved, new makes a lot more sense..

rockauto.com seems to have the cheapest prices on gas tanks from what I've seen. you can also get discount codes to save an additional 5-10% off your order to make it an even sweeter deal.

the fuel system is not something you want to skimp on or take short cuts with. buying a used tank might save you a few dollars in the short term but could cost you a lot more in the long run.
