    Good M42 crank or M44 bottom end or M44 crank and S52 pistons

    Crank is junk on my M42. Need something to replace it. Needs to be shipped to Halifax, Nova Scotia.

    Honestly not wanting to spend much as I'm just about to give up on this motor and M50 swap instead.

      swap in the 6 banger. it will be so much cheaper than rebuilding an m42. you will be a lot happier with the car too.

          Well I have so much invested into the 4 pot as is that I don't want to give up on it all now but really don't want to go any further. The whole point of the M42 was to have an economical engine that was fully resealed and checked over. At this point I'm throwing the M50 in and hoping it's OK as it was pulled from a non running parts car.
