    WTB: Short Shifter

Ebay is fine (basically preferred). Not looking to spend too much and hopefully local. Budget is like $20.

I would've suggested the BMA SSK

I bought it for $109 shipped and it came with everything to refresh your bushings too. Z3 1.9 shifter; alleged 32% reduction in throw and straight plug and play. No need to bend your selector rod. CRAAAAZY notchy. Very satisfied with it

If your gonna open up your budget, I'd recommend it. Finding a SSK is near impossible for under $50; Let alone find one that's straight bolt in or even close to the value your getting with BMA's kit

Yep. Almost bought an ebay one locally for $15...we had a deal but he sold it before I picked it up :(. I really fucking wanted that, didn't even have to bend the selector rod.

Shut the fuck up. My budget is my budget. As I said, I basically had one for $15 before the guy sold it a day before I was gonna get it.

Very helpful advice, but with the amount that new tranny mounts tightened up my shifting, i'd say the bushings are mostly fine. I'd just like a shorter throw shifter, hopefully quite a bit notchier. Thanks for the most helpful post itt.

How old are your bushings? Unless recently changed there probably shot and since your going in there to do it its worth getting new bushings and derlin ones at that.

I have a selector rod that I could sell you alone for $20+shipping. It came out of a z3. However, it wouldnt feel that good just because you'd still have lose bushings. shorter throw, but still not tight.

I just replaced my bushings & shifter with a Blunttech kit. You can come try it if you want. The only issue is a tad bit of rubbing in 1st & 2nd with the harmonic balancer, which I was going to remove when I do the giubo. or I can just bend the rod...

I really just want the shifter. A z4 3.0 shifter is like $45 brand new. $20 is not an unreasonable price for a lightly used one. Hell, it's not even that low for one that hasn't been used. But with that said I can go up a little bit right now.
