My car has 125k, but recently the speedometer started acting up... Began to take apart the cluster and with one touch the speedo needle broke. I also realized a few days later that the cluster wasn't even bad. The wiring was just flaky

Has to be Motometer/7k rpm. Hopefully close to my mileage...

I might have a MM speedo. I have a few clusters being shipped to me for repair. I can sell you the whole speedometer for $50, verified working.

I cant go $50 on a whole cluster. Working MM clusters usually go for $150 minimum.

What is wrong with your speedo? Just the needle came off?

I test and repair whole clusters and all parts including speedo. You might want to consider having your speedo repaired and tested.

I appreciate the replies guys. I've already had someone willing to ship me theirs for $55 earlier this month. I never sent over the money because I ran into some issues with the e30 and had to prioritize. I just PMed him back to see if he still has it. I was also in contact with 2 or 3 other people in the same price range.

And to answer your question, yes just the needle fell off... Rather I believe it snapped. I have no idea how though, because I never even touched it. I was in the process of pulling out the cluster from the dash and I happened to see something drop out of the bottom of my eye.
