    WTB: This style shift knob

    Hey guys, I don't like the big bulky shift knob in my 318is, I've driven an e30 with this knob and I liked it a lot more. I think it comes stock on early models, but not sure. I'm sure these are cheap, let me know if you have one in good condition. Must be push-on type, not threaded.

    I think thats an e21 era knob.

      I had one and would advise not to use it with a short shift kit that is even remotely notchy because it will crack and separate. Just an FYI.

        E21 knobs are threaded.
        Our '85 325e came with the one OP is looking for.

          My friend just sold an all original 87 325is and it had a similar knob. I guess they're not as common as I thought. Interesting about the short shifter, I'll keep that in mind as I'm planning on running one soon. I just don't like how big my current one is.
