WTB, E30 LSD + France shipping

    Hi everyone !

I'm really surprised about how easily you can find a Limited Slip Differential here, Just for you to know, here, first of all it's hard to find, and secondly, it's f*ucking expensive ! You have to pay between 450 to 850€ ( 600-1100$) to find a LSD in good condition, i own a 1985's 325i e30, , and i don't even have a LSD, what a shame !

that's why i need your help, i was wondering what would be the price for a LSD shipped to France, Since i will have an e36 gearbox on my engine, i need a looonnngggg differential, such as S.3.23,

The second possibility is Just the mechanism, without the diff's cover etc.. it would be great also, and much more lighter and easier to ship !

Feel free to contact me by MP

    Thanks you for reading

    have a nice day !

i actually tried to ship a diff to france before and it is crazy expesive to do such as about the only person who will ship something that heavy internationaly was DHL it was 500 just for shipping.

do you currently have a lsd diff? you could just swap the ring gear for a diffrent ratio

i didn't see your answer sorry .. I don't have any LSD currently, and it's dangerous as hell, there is always a wheel spinning like crazy !

As you said, the shipping cost is incredibly expensive, i didn't think it was that expensive .

That's why i think the best would be to send just the inside's mechanism of the lsd. but it's not easy to find :(

I might consider this. It depends on what ratio you need. All ive got left is a 3.91 medium case lsd

Since i'm running an e36 gearbox on my m20b25, a long differential would be the best, such as 3.23 or 3.45, but as SmokeE30 said, if i buy just the mechanism, without the case, i can put it in an classic diff which i already have .

It's funny because you really have a lot of LSD there, were they "original equipment " on every e30 ?

But we do have the european bumper instead, it's pretty cool also 8)

Yeah, that's exactly what i meants to say ! it shouldn't weight as much as the whole diff, so it should be cheaper and easier to ship i guess, i PM you SmokeE30
