    WTB: Driveshaft that fits 96mm guibo

    I'm doing a 5spd conversion and the tranny I have came out of a super eta with the larger guibo. Does anyone have a driveshaft that would fit this?

              You can swap the trans output flange to a smaller one with 0 issues. I did this last week. You'll need a deep, thin-wall 30mm socket to get the nut off/on, and a new retaining clip.

              You can borrow my socket for the price of shipping.

                Can't you just swap the flange on the output shaft of the tranny? It will make it easier to locate.

                  I have one but I'm reluctant to sell it because I know how difficult these are to find. I went the other way, I swapped from small to large flange and traded another member straight up. Reason being is I wanted to use the larger guibo and it's the same one used on my M3's, E36's, etc. so I have a few extras. Yes, swapping the flange is easy enough with the large socket, power tools and some heat.

                    Power tools and heat aren't really necessary, you just need a good way to brace it (like putting it in gear or sticking a screwdriver through one of the flange holes and bracing it) and a gear puller.

                      I see. Does anyone have a small flange then? I don't mind swapping to the smaller flange... its going to be a stock m20 anyway.
