+1 on taking it apart. Mine was stuck closed. I took it apart and cleaned everything up. 15k miles later and it's still working just fine.
Soldering up a crack would be pretty easy too. I would use a small butane torch or even a large propane one if I had to. Get some flux and solder in the plumbing department of your favorite home improvement vortex.Comment
