    WTB: M20 Intermediate Shaft Bearings!

Rebuilding an M20 for Spec E30 right now at the shop and just found out that BMW has no IM bearings available in North America right now. They are backordered from Germany with no ETA.

That puts us in a tough spot. This project needs to keep moving forward.

These bearings are about $4 each from BMW, but we will pay more if somebody has a new set setting around they'd be willing to sell.

    Please let me know! Thanks.

            Doesn't make a difference, they're the same.

Yes indeed. They agreed that the '863' bearing was not nationally available. He had outdated info that said a dealer in Edison, NJ may have one in stock. But the info was from December 2012. They're closed tonight, but I will try calling again tomorrow.

I can get the other '196' bearing from a number of sources, but one won't do me any good without the other.

I think they'd just be stuck canvassing dealers around the country, trying to turn up a stray bearing too.

For sure, but they're also pulling from the dealer network I believe. I'd originally ordered the bearings from www.getbmwparts.com. Their website said they were available too. But after I placed the order, they notified me that the bearings were back ordered from Germany.
