    WTB: E30 A/C Components

Bought my 1989 325i in MN without A/C (guy said it was removed), now I'm living in SC and I definitely need A/C.

Looking for the compressor and condenser, I'm assuming. What other parts do I need? I don't even know what to look for regarding what is still with the car and what's not.

There are a few 3 series BMW's in a "pull a part" salvage yard here, can the A/C from any other BMW models fit the E30?

Here's their BMW inventory that I could pull from:

    Thanks for any help!

    I'm located in Charleston, SC.

Your odds are way better with this ^ (a known working system) than with grabbing used parts from pullapart since you have no way of knowing if anything works or worse, if it has black death and is completely useless.

There are also only certain OE compressors that will work with R134a so if all you want is basic cooling you have a decent option above.

Just pulled the AC from the engine bay of my 87 325i. I have no idea if it works as there was no gas in the system when I bought the car. I've got the compressor, condenser drier and a few misc lines. I have yet to pull the interior components. Hit me up via PM if you're interested in it. I am out in CA so shipping could be $$$.

ANother unsolicited thumbs up for TDIPower.
I recently sold all my E30 AC parts to a r3Ver for not much $$ but the shipping adds up fast. A known good system or even "worked recently" is good news.
Even better is a good car with working AC!

          Good luck.
