If someone was close, I would borrow one(an extra one, not one they are currently using on their car). I mainly need the thread and pitch. When I looked it up I could not find a definitive size. E30 late model radiator drain plug. I figure someone selling the parts might know the size. And if someone had an extra one I could buy it. I don't want a new one because the car is only being driven to my garage and then tore apart.

bleed cooling system
drive car to garage
drain fluids
disassemble car

I have one from the old rad in my 85 318i. It was a behr I'm pretty sure... Are they all the same? I'll go find it and take pics.

Hrm, I can't find it. Maybe the tweakers stole it, or maybe I left it at the shop. I'll update tomorrow.

they cant be more than $2@ which is less than anyone would charge to ship it.

FYI theres a fine pitch and a coarse pitch
