WTB: Bilstein HDs, Sport Spings or Koni's and Front spoiler lip

Recently joined the e30 ranks with a '91 318is. I have a 2002 and am fairly active on the 2002faq.

The suspension on the 318is is shot. Would like to buy a slightly used front and rear strut/spring set up.

I am familiar with Bilstein HDs and Ireland Engineering springs but open to just about anything that's better than what is currently on there.

Front spoiler lip beneath the fog lights also needs to be replaced. Car is Alpine White.

Shoot me a PM if you have anything along those lines. I am local to Denver, CO.

    Thanks.

Keep in mind that HDs are intended for a stock or mildly lowered car. Enough drop and you'll want to go with Sports.

My wife will be driving this e30 so I'm not looking for anything that she'll have problems with or the rougher ride that goes along with sports. That being said, for the right price, sports would be considered by HDs preferred.

The application of Sports or HDs is determined by your ride height to avoid the risk of bottoming out. They ar both quite a bit firmer than stock but the lower the car the less comfortable the ride.

+1 I hated my Bilsteins, there so stiff! I'd look into Koni's or the very reasonably priced KYB shocks.

              +1 to your +1...which I suppose is +2.

My cabrio has BS Sports w H&R cabrio springs and my 84 318i had them w Eibach Prokits. I drove the 84 with them for about 12 years so I'd say they had their chance.

Handling is great but both rides are excessively jarring to the point where I never stop thinking about changing them out. Maybe it's the roads (although I felt the same way in Florida w the 318 as I do here in NC) or my aging bones (not that it matters).

I've driven on 2 cars w konis and in both cases the balance between handling and comfort was much better so I've decided to get some Koni Sports for the cabrio to verify once and for all if that will indeed be a better option.

I live in Colorado and the roads here are nothing to write home about. Also open to Koni's. Thanks for the suggestion.
