Looking for the underdash panel on the drivers side. The panel goes directly below the steering wheel and above the pedals. Need shipped to Austin tx. Thanks!

I think you can fit a airbag under dash on a non-air bag (I have all the parts, but haven't done it yet) - the airbag under tray looks better IMHO.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?Comment

Thanks for the info. Would you happen to have any pics? I did some searching but can't seem to find good pics illustrating differences. My car never had the panel so I don't really know which one is which.Comment

The airbag panel is two pieces that join together. There's an aluminum bracket on airbag cars that supports both pieces. The pedal panel/rear panel is secured to the bracket with 8mm bolts/clip nuts and the front vinyl foam panel is slotted and sandwiched between the bracket and the rear panel. The top is secured by screws and clip nuts. You can retrofit it to early cars but you won't have the bracket that supports the middle."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

I never used the bracket, just used those 90 degree plastic screws up top. I think the lower half of the late model knee bolster is unnecessary, you won't know anything is missing unless you put your head where your feet belong.Jah bless! :pimp:Comment
