    WTB: 153 dme ecu

    I need an performance chip to fit my 88 325is, the last 3 digits are 153

    Please let me know what you have and the price. THanks

    If you need a new one then I would recommend getting a 173. The 153 had issues which were fixed with the 173. The 173 will work fine. If you still want a 153 there is one for sale in this thread, http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=73802.

        whoa... a 173 will fit in my car even if the oem one is a 153?

        do i need any harnesses or anything else in order to be able to use it?

        oh and im looking for a performance chip sorry about not specifying that.

            Thanks to this board, I just did this swap this afternoon. Since I have no glovebox or shrouding under it, it only took about 2 minuites, literally.

            Seems to idle smoother, seems a bit snappier...but no huge difference.

            The reason I did the swap is to prepare my car for a 2.7 budget stroker. Mark D' makes a specific chip for that job.

            The dood who posted above this (Funkmasta) is a good guy to buy from. Reliable and quick.

                You still need an ecu... Go with the Jim C or Mark D. I would stay away from Dinan.
