Don’t pay extra for a M rack because they have the same part number as every other e36.

I don’t believe this is true. My 95 m3 rack has a green tag and the regular e36 had a red tag.

95 M3 rack is progressive. EVERY other e36 is linear and IOM is more desirable in an e30

Pretty positive you have progressive and linear mixed around.

I've had this conversion with Rich (the rackdr) Swenson enough times that I'll stick with my opinion.

I've never said there's anything wrong with the 95 M3 rack although I'm sure they cost a fair bit more. I'm just tired of seeing people froth at the mouth to have one as if it's the holy grail.

To be honest I’m not sure what the going rate is for the m3 rack. My buddy gave it to me for like 50 bucks cause he was going to a z3 and doesn’t like shipping or dealing with forum people and knew id use it not flip it.
