WTB: Crank Position Sensor for M42

Looking for a working crank position sensor for the M42 in the 318i/318is since the Bosch one I tried putting in didn't fix my problem.

The part number is 12141721968.

Where did you get that PN from? I believe it should be 12141721504.

I recommend going OE genuine BMW part only. The Bosch "equivalent" I got before getting the genuine BMW part didn't work properly in certain rpm bands (and had a straight connector vs a 90deg one). More expensive, but you'd know it works and last a good while.

I purchased it from FCP Euro. It is the version with the straight connector and while my 318i starts, it doesn't want to idle correctly.

Can someone confirm if the one with the 90 degree connector from ECS Tuning or from Turner Motorsport will work?

The Bosch one I had issues with was also from FCP Euro. I tried writing a review on their site for it and how it doesn't work properly but it doesn't look like it made it past their filter. Surprised they're still selling it.

The genuine BMW one I got (w/ 90 degree connector) was from ECS Tuning and it works well - haven't had issues related to CPS since.
