    Front springs wanted...PNW PICNIC ONLY!

Hey kidz, I need some springs for the front of the GFs car.

I have nice struts to put in, but she does NOT want it lowered...but if I can find some fairly cheap that drop no more than an inch, I will do it.

Oh yeah, I am poor and cheap...so whatcha got sitting around gathering dust? M3 springs would be great.

Oh yeah, I will be at the picnic, so bring them!

Are they going to drop the front of her '89 "is" an inch?

I would not think so...I also have a set of springs from an '87 325is. I put them on an "e", made no difference.

Just an FYI, I sat a set of stock 85 325e springs and a set of 87 325is springs right next to each other, and the 325is springs were a good 3/4" to 1" shorter, both front and rear. Not sure about spring rates, but I can't imagine the 325is rates would be softer, so putting 325is springs on your 325e should have dropped it a little. I assume it's the sport model difference that spring height depends on, not the e/i difference.

This has no relevant or even useful information to contribute to your original topic. You're welcome.

I do not have an E.

Her car is an '89 325i.

I was told the "i" and "is" springs were the same...
