For Sale (RI): GS500E to try to fund a place to rent

I just wanted to see if there were any entry level or even veteran motorcycle enthusiasts that would be interested in a 'lowly' Suzuki GS500E. It's a great beginner bike, or spare track bike if you want to stick to a lower motor class.

Up on the chopping block, 1991 Suzuki GS500E with 17k original miles.

I know I will probably not sell it for what I would like and I apologize if I have rediculous expectations, it holds a lot of sentimental value for me as my first bike. I know it inside and out as it was torn down, rebuilt, and upgraded.

When I purchased it, it had cracked plastics in the rear from saddle bags and was (personally) not concerned with aesthetics....it rubs some folks the wrong way, but I like it....please don't flame me as it was my bike, my preference.

What I did since ownership of the bike:
    reupholstered the seat
    relocate wiring under tank
    changed spark plugs
    new front turn signal
    new D.I.D o-ring chain
    front sprocket
    rear sprocket
    relocated license plate
new fuel lines + inline filter
    K&N filter
    Yosh RS-3 slipon
Rejet the carbs (40 pilots 150 mains 1 washer 3 turns)
    zx636 integrated LED tail light
electronic blinker relay (solves LED blink problems)
    Changed battery
    Bar end mirrors
    Katana clutch perch/lever
    aftermarket footpegs
    blue led in instruments
    2006 gsxr 600/750 forks
2006 gsxr radial calipers with master cylinder and brake lines
    2006 gsxr axle/spacer
    01-03 (k1-k3) gsxr front wheel running 120/70R17
Katana/SV650 Rear wheel (powdercoated white) running 160/60R17
    320mm Rotors (k1-k3 / hayabusa)
    2006 gsxr clipons
    New GS500 steering bearings
    Acewell 280x Series Gauge
WORKS Performance rear shock w/ remote resevoir (setup for rider/gear == 180-200lb)
    SW-Motech Case Guards

    THE BAD
-One of the header bolts snapped in the head and needs to be extracted
-Likes to mark it's territory (oil drip): It needs one or two seals for the gear selecter and clutch pin, not a big deal to fix <$20.

    Included in Sale
-Katana 750 rear shock (if you find the WORKS shock too soft)
-GSXR rear shock (for you taller riders)
-600# spring for WORKS shock, but will need to send in for revalve
    -Service manual
-Barely used HJC IS16 helmet with built in retractable sun visor
    -Alpinestar EXILE jacket (large)
    -Cortech Scarab Gloves
-T-Rex Front and Rear motorcycle bike stands
-Spare k3 GSXR front wheel with rotors and tire
-other stuff will be added once I remember....

    PICTURES (the blue one):

    showing off the shock

Full details and project build found here:

If it gathers no interest whole, then i'll likely part it out. I picked up another E30 and . Ideally I would love to see $2300 for all of the above, but am interested in seeing where offers stand; the GSXR front end and WORKS rear shock was not cheap.

NEW REDUCED PRICE 08-17-2011 : $1700 for bike and any extras I have

    lmk your thoughts, offers, interest

yea not enough interest in the bike as a whole. It may get parted out instead which really breaks my heart cause I put a lot of time into it. It is a mere GS500 but it had potential for a great track beater.

Alright, this thing is officially for sale. I have no finances to even do timing on the car let alone swap.

Oh wow. I really like a naked bike, it just looks so good.

Just curious, but approximately how much power is it making? 0-60 times? I am sort of looking for a bike, I like this style, but I have never ridden a street bike. Only a dirt bike.
