Interested. Can you provide some details on the webbing used? Any idea how it compares to something tacticool like the 5.11 belt?

Also, any chance of getting one without the metal tip, so it's TSA friendly?

Seems to be very similar. The break strength of these is rated from 1500-6500 (seems broad I know) but they have a recommended work load of 500 lb on the conservative side. You can remove the metal tip if you want. It's easily removable so you can shorten the length if needed. It would simply be an unfinished end.

I can make seat belts and I've looked into it but I'm not sure how comfortable I feel producing a product that is designed to save a persons life. Seems like a huge liability, I would have to do more research on the topic. But for now buy a seat belt for your pants!

I looked into making seat belts aswell, until i relaized i did not want to spend the rest of my life in jail, due to them not being approved by whoever, after someone got in a wreck and got hurt or killed.

there is like 3-4 places in the USA that make belts, and when you see kits going for 1-2000$ its because the safely testing and certification isnt cheap

            Please leave feedback below, thanks

Yeah, all totally understandable points. Sucks!! Items like seat belts werent even a consideration 10 years ago when we were messing with these cars, but now it is. Hope someone can step up to the plate and offer an affordable stylish setup in the near future.

It's a cool idea and hopefully you can make some money off it. In general I would be interested in a belt but that latch type does not cinch down well. If you could figure out a way to have a normal type belt latch and punch out and stitch reinforce the holes in my opinion it would look and function better, and last much longer. Good luck.
