The alpina locks with an actual lock that takes a key. The Hartge's lock with the security bolt that goes thru the hole in the centercap & threads into the boss in the wheel. If you dont have the boss, your wheels didn't come with locking centercaps.

The 16" wheels didn't come with the locking caps, so I'm trying to get a picture to help me get some ideas.

Nice wheels but don't you think it would have been a good idea to clean them first?

I'm afraid your mistaken - I have a set - they are also listed in Hartge's 1987 catalog. 16", 17" & 18" had the option of either cap. You can get your type new, from Birds UK. Get some ideas by starting your own thread - don't thread jack this one. Sorry OP

I did start my own thread a few months ago, but the lack of people that are willing to help on this forum is unbelievable. If I have an actual question (I have very few), I find that I generally have to ask in for sale threads to find the answer.
Thanks for your response. You could have PMed to keep from screwing up the thread ;)

GL with the wheels, and bump.
