          Is the et0 a mistype, or is that due to the plate you mentioned... basically a 20mm thick, 57.1mm center bore spacer, welded on to the backside of the wheel?

            Correct, the 0 offset its due to the plate. Couldn't put it any better. The plate was basically used to insure the integrity of the face. I'm sure you've see drilled wheels without the original bolt pattern filled, the bolt patterns collide and it just looks like a disaster waiting to happen.
