I dont foresee that to be a problem, I should have no problem with the first 50 being available for R3V'rs;)

I am deffinately interrested in the adapter plate! I am tuning my turbocharged m20 with an SMT6. I have already replaced my AFM with the ford 5.0 MAF, but am having issues with load deflection due to the fact that the TPS on the m20 is nothng more than a WOT switch and I havent had much luck wiring the load delfection signal to the new MAF. Whed will this be available?

              M30 Throttle Body w/ M20 TPS question

              Hello,

I have a turbo m20, and was considering your retrofit. A couple of questions:

              1. Would I have to create a new charge-pipe due to the longer length throttle body with will be jutting out further than stock location?

              2. Will the m20 TPS be mounted on the side or top of the M30 throttle body? I ask, because these m20 TPS' accumulate oil in them, as a result of their upside down mounting.

              Thanks,
              Arashjahn

                    TPS Questions

Hi there, I was wondering if your design eliminated the oil drippage issue an M20 has with its TPS being mounted on the bottom of the throttle body?

This drippage ends up flooding the TPS and conducts electricity, causing erratic idle and throttle hesitation. In my turbo application, the cooling mist nozzle that sprays windshield wiper fluid into the charge pipe, drips liquid into the TPS via the throttle body butterfly rod that fits into the TPS. Alcohol is way more conductive than oil. So the erratic idle is way more pronounced.

On the classic M30 design, the TPS is on the side, thus bypassing the drippage from gravity. On the preliminary picture, it looks like the TPS is mounted to the bottom of the M30 TB. Is that true?

Do you have any suggestions for my dilemma?

                    Thank you,
                    Arash

He and His brother have their own business and have been close friends with my Father for years. We have been working collectively to design an adaptor to mount the M30 T/B to the M20 manifold to increase airflow for all you turbo, stroker guys. We are 90% done with final test fitting to be done on my car Friday. After the necessary hones for the booster have been finalized I will be taking it to the dyno for HP #'s. I am putting my all in this product as fabbing is in my blood. A BIO on me: I grew up bimmers, My dad has had his BMW shop since 1987. I have allways been into motorsports especially Bimmers. I started wrenching with my Dad since 92 with more of the mindset of motorsport. I have worked with the likes of T.E.P, RMS and other tuners in Cali and NV. This will be our first product as we venture into motorsports. Before I push my product to major tuners, I would like to offer my product to R3V members. Feel free to ask ?'s and interest about this product. Thanks again for taking the time to read this post.

Look for our booth @ BIMMERFEST May 22nd, Part will be on display and will answer all questions.

i am interested in this. Can you get an M30 BBTB that is larger than 64mm? That way we can fit something like a 68mm TB to the M20 manifold
