I'll see about getting mine dropped over the Christmas period. Off work for the first time in a week and a half. Will post pictures all the way down. There's a few issues I'm trying to sort with the S50 and ZF. Mostly an obnoxious engine knock that I figured was bad gas.

okay so im running into a problem trying to install the front springs. i need to compress the spring so that i can put on the top hat but there is not enough room between the coils to squish it all together and be able to put the top on. the compressors keep going sideways and crossing over them selfs and making it impossible to put it on. how did some of you guys do it? smaller compressors?

I think what you are saying is that when you decompress the springs the adjusters get pinched in between the the top hat and the top of the spring?

in that case you need to put the spring compressor lower on the spring, like so:

Or set the top hat on the spring without the top nut on and then pop it in the car. Place a jack under the ca and s loo wly jack up the strut assembly until you can place the gland nut on. Tighten. Or do as mentioned above and see if that works for you. Hope that helps.

ok, so what's the talk about cutting the spring perch off? I see in this application it isn't being done this way. I was thinking about getting this set but was told the perches would have to be removed to allow for adjustment? Are there options here then?

You don't have to cut the perches off to adjust. It makes it tricky but you can still adjust just fine. I did today. To achieve more low you will have to section your strut housing. But, you'll be plenty low without sectioning at all. As for the rears, I'm going to get different springs because I have the early rear arches and these don't really get me as low as I'd like. Pictures in the am of the rears all the way down. Definately not as low as I was hoping for.

Just run the rear with no adjuster.

Probably what I'll end up trying. Still don't think the early arches are going to be forgiving in the aesthetics department. Adjuster out will close another 1/2"-3/4" inch of fender gap, but I think I've got closer to 1" to try and fill in. I love small tails (ask Greg about that ;) ) but damn, these arches are going to be a bitch-hole.

Well, yeah, I love 'em but damnit, I need more low in the rear, heh.

Does GC sell some small/shorter rear springs seperately?

They do, you can toss pretty much any old spring size back there within reason too.
