This is part of a bolt-on conversion to E36 5-lug, so you can fit E36 M3 brakes, and std E36 offset 17" wheels and the wheel ends up centered in the wheel arch.
You can fit std or M3 spindles.

I think its around 20mm further forward. I didn't have thr treehouse ones handy to compare, but these move the back of the arm to within 1/8" of the chassis rail, and adjust for the angle of the arm as well.

E30/standard E36 control arms are identical to 95 M3.... Except for the balljoints. E30 uses solid joints, standard E36 are rubber dampened and 95 M3 are solid hardened.

So I'm assuming these use 96+?
Yes 96+ control arms are recommended, as they have a little more castor built in as well.

No, these go along with the E36 5 lug swap to center the front wheel.

If you three guys are in, it might be just enough to get a batch made up.

Do you want to go ahead?

Wow, you might potentially open up a new wave of 5 lug conversions. Hats off to you!

looks like it still requires the M control arms.

    Custom CA Mounts for E30

    Hi all,

I'm looking for expressions of interest in custom solid control arm mounts to suit E36 front suspesion legs in an E30.
I designed these myself to cure the wheel positioning problem when fitting E36 struts to an E30.
They are solid aluminium, with a Delrin bush for the control arm. The offset provided is much greater than the M3 ones, the PU ones, or even the Greentree Racing ones.

When coupled with E36 M3 control arms, and standard E36 or M3 front spindles, these CA mounts position the wheel perfectly in the wheel arch.

These pieces make an E36 five-stud conversion for an E30 a true bolt-on conversion, and allow you to fit E36 M3 brakes.

They will cost around $250 per set, if I can get enough buyers to get a batch made. I have three potentials already.

These are the best pics I've got, showing them fitted to my E30 M52 2.8

    Cheers

    Ian
