If you put tape over the handle before you engrave them, it will engrave through the tape, letting you paint the letters before pealing the tape off.

The only issue would then be the powder coat I guess. Maybe if I started with a new set of handles that might work but for a one off set with painted engraved lettering the price would have to be double to make it worth my time.

Im wondering- if a couple of us want colored text, would it be possible to PC some blanks with the batch, and then cnc them with tape over them? Send it to us taped?

I spoke with my machine guy today and he said it would be possible but he's not sure how the tool coolant will affect the tape. Honestly though, it would look better to find someone who can paint the letters in with a brush. This way the indention of the letters still shows black.

I don't need payment upfront, I will only ask for payment once I have them in my hands, inspected and ready to ship.
