Is this compatible with my 87 325e?

i have separate keys for my trunk and driver side. is this a problem?

As long as your central locking is functional it'll work for you. Just get it keyed for your ignition switch and you won't have to worry about having separate keys.


Regarding the lack of an alarm, I absolutely despise car alarms so I'm not the least bit upset that it doesn't have one.

Installed 2 of these and it worked flawlessly. Never had worked on electrical in a car except for installing a stereo, that's it. You don't have to be rocket scientist to install this.

All alarms are different so i can't speak about what needs to be done to tap in to it. You'd have to seek assistance from a professional installer. Same goes for re-programming your current alarm to accept these remotes.

The ignition wire is a thicker gauge, I would advise you to use the blue taps instead of the red one. As for me I didn't have a choice since I ran out of them. But I did tape the tap shut to avoid a loose connection.



Connected the lock and unlock wire here. Yeah I messed up in the beginning with that grey yellow wire. Hehehe. It's my first time doing a wiring like this.



Just tap the ground here but I figured a better location for it on my second install and it doesn't look as half ass as this.


I took the green and yellow wires and twisted them together and connected a terminal to it and screwed it in place using the bolt on the bracket for the ABS harness
