Damn. I shouldn't have jumped the gun on this one for the flip style. These E46 style ones are looking pretty nice...

Well after going back and forth with the manufacturer I won't be able to offer the e46 style keyless only system for quite a while. They have a minimum order of 700 blanks and did me a personal favor for making a mistake on the original batch I ordered 8 months ago. I don't have the scratch to order 350 kits so it will be a while especially at the rate I'm looseing money on the coilovers. So basically if you're waiting for a keyless only e46 just buy the alarm and don't wire in the alarm functions

Ordered. A writeup would be nice to get keyless going. I may just have german audio specialists deal with the fancy options.

I might pull the UAS kit out of the turbo car this week and do a write up on installing the GE kit. We'll see how much time i have.

Its 11mm. Order the rondell from your dealer. They are $4-5 depending on your dealer.

Hi Einstein! You know my problem with the keyless not working from far away then not working at all? well after doing what you said (lock manually, lock with keyless and then unlock) it works for all distances now :D Thank you! But my friend wants the original keyless only system, how much will they be?

Just sent the payment for the next batch of flip keys today. Will take 3-4 weeks to them in. Sorry for the long delay but the coilover mess ups really set me back financially.

So I just bought the E46 style alarm, and already have the flip style keyless. Thinking that I could use the flip keys, and my wife can use the E46 style she prefers.
Then I completely forgot that the keys are coded to the control box!
Is there anyway to reprogram it?

                            Thanks
                            Ross

Central door locking automation (locks the doors when you press the brake after starting)
Alright, dumb question but I know nothing about this stuff. When you install it, is it possible to disable only the central door locking automation?

That's not a dumb question at all.

You mean - is it possible to install it as just a key-less, and not as an alarm? The answer is yes. Yes - and I expect how most people will.

But with this setup - you'll get extra features. So it's better. 6 months ago - the price of the same system was 3 times as much - just FYI.

I have a unit sitting on my workbench in the lab. Shipping was fast - and the keys seem as good as the $$$ OEM e46/X5 keys I'm use to on my friends BMW that I drove .

Keep in mind - I'm really picky about stuff. More so than others.
