what a saga! glad to see things finally came through, i spent a lot of time developing and testing headers and if theres one thing i discovered is that the exhaust only needs to be as good as the rest of that particular engine
headers dont make more power, but the exhaust or header sure can cause an engine to loose power.
In other words if the engine is in a state of tune such that its happy with a standard manifold then headers are not going to do much, but if an engine is highly tuned with cam timing events that requires exact scavenging and wave tuning then the wrong header will cost a lot of power
So by doing any dyno testing all you are doing is testing that particular engine combination and how much it likes that particular header this will have little or no bearing on another engines suitability for that header or indeed if the header is good or bad
Real race headers have to be exactly built for that exact engine displacement, rpm range, cam duration, head flow etc etc with all the lengths being within +/-1" of the correct tuned length not just equal length. No production type header is ever going to get even close to that.
Having said all that any tube header that merges the runners nicely and moves them further from the head is going to make an improvement, it will flow better look better and sound better than a cast manifold, so dont worry about the lengths or style if they are long or short etc just enjoy!
hope that makes sense!sigpic

Very nice looking engine. What are your specs for the build? Is this running in a car now? Any exhaust clips? Dyno specs before and after headers? Great job by the way..
