Interested in this Frank. I posted in your other thread about this is the parts for sale section. What kind of time table are you looking at for payment in full to get this started? Im about 80% there to 1400 (I want the ceramic coating). Thanks.

I picked up Brads old set of RD headers so I'm officially out of this.

Don’t forget that Frank has been teasing along this gb for years prior to “officially” kicking it off again this year...

I sent messages to both of you. Brad did not waste anytime. I see the differences on headers. Hartge did the same on e30 H35 and e23 H7,e24 H6,e28 H5

UPDATE - seems like this is the OLD group buy thread.
There's another thread - check the THIRD POST on first page for info: https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=237043

Posting to help others avoid confusion about E30 vs E34 header designs

this post earlier points to a strictlyeta.net page that explains the difference between the E30 and E34 RD snake header designs.

RD E34 M20 headers (collectors aimed back, interfere with E30 firewall, require modification)

RD E30 M20 headers (collectors aimed down - the group buy design)

ha. they're definitely original ANSA, but I'm fairly certain they're not the E30 version - check this earlier post from on this thread:

As you can see from the picture, because the original headers had a doughnut style coupler that allows for some angular mis-alignment the flanges are held together tightly by the spring force.
Here's another shot of the ones I picked up - note the difference between both, especially the left header.

So they're most likely E34, and I'll need to modify the oil filter mounting to use them. also not willing to do a Nando and just flip the oil filter mounting flange - I'm keeping AC.

Then again maybe the E30 versions required the oil filter to be moved too.

We may have a new idea to get the group buy completed, but won't give any details until if/when it comes to fruition.
