^That's all I'm concerned with. Because it will be a dual-purpose car. I still DD it, even without PS, AC, washer fluid, and solid engine & tranny mounts.

My worries are that I'd like to retain my center console and shift boot, that's all.

        Perfect.

Out of curiosity, if we get more people for the GB, can the price go any lower?

If so, how many to get the whole kit with DSSR for $300?

OP — How many people do we have that are in for the group buy? Counting bimmerforums (E36/E30) people also?
Right, mine is dual purpose as well, and I'm going for borderline race on a street car. Race parts and an interior. I don't really even care too much about the height as it's for functionality but I do not want a dildo shift knob. After all sorts of knobs I like my doorknobs and I'm anal about shift patterns.

How is this completely useless for street cars?

the only downside will be the increased noise from the chassis mounted base, even that can be mended with some aluminum insulation tape.
the stock shift boot can be used, the center console still fits, and the shifter has a 4" throw.. Lets make this happen!

^Doesn't the Stage II have a 2.5" throw?

I'm not sure, the website says 4"-2.5" so i took the higher value. regardless thats still a pretty short throw

I've also heard someone say they use the stock rubber mounts with no problems, as long as they arent old and rotted out.
solid mounts arent mandatory, especially not for street use since there isnt much lateral force on the mounts for street driving

The dssr is included for an additional cost I believe. Youll get 15 bucks off of the listed price from their website.

I think to be clear we should rewrite the OPs post so more people can better understand, I know I had to read it twice. My understanding of the group buy is the following:

                          - 10 or more people, we get the DTM stage 2 shifter for $300 plus shipping.
                          - You only get the $15.00 off the DSSR if you purchase the DTM shifter at the $300 price
                          - You do NOT get the shifter and DSSR together for $300 plus shipping

hopefully this helps some people, please put your name on the list if interested.
