He is using countersink head-bolts instead of hex bolts
I know... I was asking about upgrading my now older version of the skid plate, and trying to get a discount because I was one of the people trying to figure out a fix for this.
See my edited and now more informational previous post.
Damn you J!
jou ma se poes in 'n fishpaste jar.

Possibility of an upgrade? I have the last version with exposed bolts.
How much? For just the countersunk plate and bolts, I don't need the hoop bar.
Please let me know Ive been changing out the bolts here and there and its annoying!
Discount for helping with the carriage bolt now counter sunk bolt idea? .. LOL
The older skid plate can be counter sunk and the bolts upgraded. The holes are a little bigger than ideal but, will work just fine. I will send anyone who has purchased a severe duty skid plate a free set of bolts. PayPal John@HIKFabrication.com $1 for shipping (and for my own records) Hurry offer ends at the end of the year.;)
All parts are available separately the skid plate itself is $140.
I might have missed it, but how much is this new design plate?
The price is still the same, for the strongest e30 Skid Plate in existence, I can say it's the strongest because we still have had only one failure. NOBODY else can say that. I don't even count that one because he was jumping the car. Proven the Best.
The kit includes: the skid plate, support hoop with stubs, quality hardware kit, and illustrated instructions. $280
All of the skid plate parts are available separately. Just in case the skid plate outlasts your e30 you can buy just the weld on stubs and transfer it to your new ride. (Which has happened multiple times. Something else that has happened multiple times, customers buy another skid plate then bust their oil-pan anyway, then buy a severe duty skid plate.)
Do it right the first time!
