The DSSR I put in my car was one of the best investments I have made.

Any particular reason you went with nut and bolt? There is a lot of vibration in that area. Guys have been trying to use bolts in place of the shifter carrier clips and they always seem to come loose.

Ya, on the later shifters like that the plastic bushing sticks out a little so you might have to sand/file a little of the plastic, not the metal though. That's true with the other options out there too though.

Ya it makes a huge difference. I feel the bolt is more secure. I've had people tell me that they have had the clips come off, rare but it has happened.
As long as the bolt is tight and you put a couple drops of loctite on it you shouldn't have a problem.

The z3 shifter won't effect the length but I'm not sure what length that is.
