There is always the 17x8 option for those who don't want to do more than a mild roll.
Same here if spacers are required. If this doesn't go through, I have my eye on another set of et10 17x9's. That's a good point about people wanting to run direct fit and purchasing the 17x8 option. The best of both worlds: option 1 for wide wheels that will fit a BBK and option 2 for a direct kit wheel that will require minimal modification.

I vote for this method. They should put a poll

spacer-less 17x10 square would be my choice.

17x10 is a little extreme...that would kill the scrub radius and steering feel in my opinion.

Yeah that's for a straight up track car with a v8 or someone trying some crazy stanceworks stuff with an extremely stretched tire lol

I have had direct fit 17x10s with 275s on my car and It's not that crazy. The bigger problem you will end up having with a light track car is actually getting heat into them for them to be effective. So, lots of fun on track--not so much fun for autocross.

Yeah the more I think about it, the more this option makes sense.

I'm going to turn this thread 180 degrees and say that I think a run of the original style wheels would be best.

Those that want an 8.5" wheel...I'm not sure why, unless you're going for a stretch tire look. Could you still fit a 235 tire under the fenders? The original 17x8 wheel is huge on an E30, and with the 235 wide tire, it barely fits with minor rear fender rolling. I already get tons of grime from the track/road down the side of the car because they're so wide! :)

I purchased the last two 4-lug wheels from you a few months ago to use as spares, and I'd love to have a complete set.

BTW, in general, my friends and I love the Apex wheels. A group of us in Indianapolis who track our cars regularly all have a set: 135i, 335i, E36M3, E46M3, and my E30.

Agreed. Heck they'd be useless to me at 8.5"

I also agree. Just to get this thing going I would like the original spec wheel.
