Hey I have found a supplier in Germany that can ship OEM Fire Extinguisher Brackets for the E30 ,that fit the sport seats, to the United States because they are not available here. The part number is 72601906501. The brackets allow you to mount a fire extinguisher to the passenger side seat under the thigh bolster. The brackets mount to the seat itself not the rail so they slide with the seat and don't get in the way of your feet. Many websites claim they have them in stock but when you order they say they can't get the part. I have been looking for a while to get one of these brackets and not pay $200-$300. I included a picture of how the bracket will mount for those of you who have not seen this before.
So the price they are charging for each bracket is $75 and then $60 shipping regardless if I order 1 or 10. I am trying to organize a group buy so we can all share the shipping cost. I would like to get at least 5 and then depending on the interest can add more to the group buy. I was thinking everyone who wants in will pay $100 to cover 1/5 of the shipping and then the cost for me to ship it to you in the US. If more than 5 people are interested I can adjust the price.
