I will GLADLY pit my $10 Alltrade utility blade knife against that SnapOn. I saw it today at OSH and had to grab it.

Squeeze the handle, blade comes out to cut. Nice hefty case with nice padding. Push a button, drop the blade out. push the retract button again and squeeze it. New blade!Comment

All of it is metal except for the rubber handle stuff. It's only 10 bucks too, saw it and thought immediately of this thread. If it breaks, who cares, it's 10 bux, get another. From that amazon link there's a few just like it, including some snapon one very similar too for closer to 20ish.Comment

Luke - I found this and thought of you.

Maybe it's better at cutting carpet and roofing shingles - so it may be too pedestrian for you.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?Comment

I'm pretty partial to this one:
I thought it was the bees knees with it's push button, pop open to switch blades design. Sadly that button doesn't work as well as it used to.
Luke, next time the snapon guy comes your way, buy another and I'll reimburse you on delivery.Comment
