B&B Triflow sounds great on my car w/ IE long tube headers, but I also have sound deadening, a cat, and an intact interior. Without those things, it would be too loud, but who cares at that point since you probably have it on a track car.

I will say though that for a passenger who doesn't really care about high performance driving, the B&B pushes the comfort threshold, whereas the IE catback would be a little more tame.

i have it and was not thrilled by it.
It is a nice replacment exhaust but i wouldn't call it high end performance. Better then the Ansa by a mile.

I wish it was not flatened near the trailing arm (no need as the clearance is just fine). and the tips are well just kind of plain. Fitment was very good.
Overall i guess i expected more and i'm sure i should have spent the extra money and got a triflow or Remus.

Have been searching around, but to no avail...can anyone with this cat back system tell me what the diameter of the pipes into the muffler box is? Thanks in advance!

                    Edit: sorry...posted too soon...looks like they're 2"

I'm going to bring this back from the dead. The links in the first post to sound clips don't work anymore. Anyone have clips for the Ireland exhaust? Also, is this ebay exhaust the same one?

                      http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...Q5fAccessories

it shows the exhaust tips being just under 2.5" diameter. Can someone measure their IE exhaust and post here?

I've always been a little nervous about Ebay parts, there are no quality controls to give me piece of mind. I bought an intake for a 99 2.5RS I had a few years ago, and it was absolutely horrid. I'm going to spend the extra money and go for the IE exhaust.

The cheapest I have seen the ebay version is about $180 shipped.

Same pic for most of these guys!

So many car amps are the same exact product in different cases. I know it is just one factory cranking out stuff and selling it to whoever cares to buy enough for them to make a profit...

Rather than make a new thread, I'll bump this one with some new questions.

Where is this exhaust located on eBay? I can't seem to find it? If it's not on eBay, where would be a good place to buy it, maybe for a little cheaper than the $425 on IE's site.

Also: to retain an approximately stock sound, what should I put in the mid section of my stainless exhaust I'm building? A regular high-flow resonator? (the car is an 1987 so I'm emissions exempt in Canada)

Not sure if its this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E30-325i...item5aeabd5db2 <-- has X-pipe.

                              or this one: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/180972100808?...84.m1497.l2649 <-- No X-pipe.

I bought the latter for $160, and it has the exact same issue with the passenger side flange that connects to the midsection. not sure how to remedy it since the old midsection clamp has one stripped bolt rusted in place and I don't feel like torquing the other one down too much.

                                What is the issue?
