Nope, no valve.
I just sent an email to Rob asking him to take a look at this thread and advise.
Review: UUC Big Brake Kit for E30 - 4 Lug Version

It is 2 part:
1) the top of the pad doesn't come in contact with the rotor, so there is a fraction of the pad thar doesn't get used.
2) the leading edge of the pad gets worn significantly more. I lost brakes going into T1 @ VIR and did a visual inspection of the pad (without removing the wheel) and it appeared to still have enough pad (not much, but enough). After it happened again, I removed the wheel and noticed that the leading edge was on the backing plate.
For reference, the DTC-60 lasts me around 4 - 5 track weekends.
Yeah, I remember Lee bringing that up when Rob announced the 4-lug kit.Leave a comment:

Anyone have any uneven pad wear? I have gone through two sets of pads (DTC-60) and both set have had uneven wear.Leave a comment:

Waiting to install mine in the next month... along with brake cooling plates/ducts and new front wheel bearings. I'll post my impressions after.Leave a comment:

I've had my kit on for close to a year now and have been very please with the 3000 or so miles I've covered.
There were some initial problems with the rotors, both of mine developed cracks after bolting them down to the aluminum hats. I was using the kit-supplied Loctite and a click-type torque wrench set to the exact specs in the instructions, yet both rotors developed crack on the 'dog-ears'. I subsequently removed the rotor from the hat and some of the dog ears fell off completely; they had snapped clean off the rotor. I called Rob @ UUC and he was very apologetic, sending out 2 brand new rotors very quickly. He also included return shipping labels for the old ones; he really wanted to investigate what was going wrong. I never heard back from his investigation but I can only assume the rotor mfg'r had some kind of QC issues and made a bad batch. The replacements went on the car just fine and I've had zero problems with them since.
I have a very heavy (3150lbs) car with a 3.5 swap, it was is sore need of some good brakes. I probably could have gone with an aggressive pad but the style, looks and quality of this kit was very appealing to me. I just had my calipers powdercoated and am looking very forward to another season with these brakes. Thumbs up!Leave a comment:

I’ve been running the UUC BBK for just over a week… I am very, very impressed with this kit. The fit and finish of the calipers are top notch, the kit is all inclusive, and the price is a BARGAIN!
Initial bit is great and from there the braking gets better. Progressive, linear, and good feel - very confidence inspiring. And this is with an S52 up front. I can’t imagine how these would perform on a M42-powered 318is. Turn-in seems to have improved due to the reduced unsprung weight.
Two caveats:
- If you don’t have ABS, be careful during hard stops. These will lock up much quicker than lesser units (obvious, right? You would think so, but I flat spotted both front tires while bedding the brakes)
- Check your kit for correct parts and fitment
Lastly, Rob at UUC is a stand up guy ;)Leave a comment:

As far as the wait... that was the only not-so-great part of the whole thing. I was also told a few different dates and had to constantly follow up with them to see when they would actually ship.Leave a comment:
