My Mark D'd 318iS is a monster in comparison to my pre-build ETA or my buddies fairly stock SETA. Throttle response, gas mileage and over all feel of the power band is incredible. -
well, I switched to the miller maf and all the bogging went away and has stayed away for months now so I'm guessing it was the AFM.Leave a comment:

I only reset after getting new chips or other upgrades or to see if resetting the ECU really fixes this problem. I reset it after getting the new headers on and I thought that the car felt great, poor idle, but when I got on the gas the car just took off, now after about 500 miles the bog is back, basically what happens is I floor it the car it takes off really slow and then just has all the power kick in about 1k rpms later than normal, its as if the powerband just kicks in later. On 2 freeway runs I picked up about 5mph on a non adjusted ECU with the same chip. If the car is moving at about 15MPH and I floor it, it takes off perfect, but if the car is stopped and I floor it, it just bogs and then goes.:( the bog is actually really noticeable. my car gets no CEL after the ECU is adjusted, only while the ECU is still learning does it get the 1222 code because of the bigger injectors. my O2 sensor is about 1 year old.Leave a comment:

so how often are you resetting the ecu
and is that just un plugging the batt
how much of a performance loss is there before you re set it

Just got my mark D 19lb injector chip installed that I bought from z31maniac, and I'm amazed at what a difference it made over the regular Mark D 14lb injector chip. My car kept on detuning my 19lb injectors before and causing a bit of lag on take off, but now it just gets up and goes. Lets hope it doesn't de-tune itself. I went from going about 80mph on the freeway ramp with my old Mark D chip to now being able to hit around 85mph and thats all because when I got on the gas the car actually moved instead of bogging and then going.
well, the bottom end bog is back:( it goes away when the ECU is reset what does this mean? I'm on my third different ECU & third kind of chip and they all do it:(Leave a comment:

no I'm not, should I be?I know that after about 1 week my car used to lean out and I'd be down on power below 3000rpms, and after installing this chip, it just goes, its great. I'll update in about 1 week to see if its de-tuning anything, if it does I guess i'll try an adjustable FPR.Leave a comment:

i am new to the whole mark d chip i ahve heard of DTM chips or dian but bot mark d what exactaly and were can i find one for my e30 are the cheaper then dian or dtm chips ?Leave a comment:
