I've had a set on my car since 9/5/06. They have held up fine sofar. But on mine #5 tube was off the mark for the studs. I did pick up some power, but i also put a free flowing exhaust on it at the same time. I do have them on a eta though. On a "i" they would probably work better since a eta isn't the best flowing motor around.

At this point in time they turned a purple/gold/brown. They can shine back up if some polishing is done to them. The flanges on them are not thick nor are they that thin. They fit in there with no clearance problems. Other then the problem that i had with #5 tube. But i may ad that i mine was some of the first sets sold.

There are short tubes and long tubes. The long ones are pretty long.

I'd call them mid-length at most, but they are better than the old MSDS copies. you want long tubes? look at Stahl headers..

nando is right, they are more of a mid tube then a long tube header.

Fair enough. They're called long-tube on their website, so I wanted to specify which ones I was referring to. I just picked an unused set from a guy who decided to go turbo for a good deal.

how much of a pain in the ass are these to install? I know exhaust manifolds on E36's are the suck (very close to the frame rail, not a whole lot of space to work with).

                        head....ers

I run the Budget Beater GB supersprint style....similiar to IE long tube style as well..........they are more of a mid tube....yes. I mainly run car at DE's...w/ a single 2.5 xhaust........she screams above 4500 all the way to hi 6's...I run a chip........ fit is ok.....some muscling is needed....common for many header installs......they do turn a brown gold purple after a while........no biggie...here is how it sounds/screams...its a bit raspy up hi....could be muffler or cat ....who knows

I love sitting down and just driving!
