    Erik,

did you remove that 1/2 cup thinge that the stock mount has?

it kinda hooks to the front of the subframe then cups the stock motor mount on the back 1/2.

I don't think i need to keep it with my solid mounts, but wasn't sure. seams like i can't bolt the lock nut down all the way with those cup thingies in.

You should weld in the turner motorsport reinforcement plates while you have the mounts out....

I don't exactly DD my car but I get a LOT of seat time in it and I have both poly engine and tranny mounts from AKG. It vibrates a little, but it's certainly not unbearable.

Plus I don't forsee them doing this bullshit anytime soon, if I hadn't already removed my engine driven fan, I'd be radiator shopping as well.

I have no vibrations whatsoever with my solid motor mounts. The tranny mounts are what seriously affect your driveline vibrations.

Just installed the solid AKG motor and tranny mounts on our E30 M3 racecar - will find out this weekend at Sebring how it performs.

So I decided that the only way to solve this would be to go with solid motor mounts.

    My current bushing setup:

    Solid Motor Mounts
    IE Polyurethane Tranny Mounts

The installation was fairly straight forward. It's a bit challenging with the bolt being completely separated from the mount, so lining up the engine arm with the subframe can be tricky.

I had my car on a lift and used a transmission jack, which allowed me to do it with ease. Installation took me no longer than 10 minutes for both sides.

Many mentioned that there would be a lot of vibrations and that it would be pretty unbearable... rattling my teeth off. After driving it around for a few days and a track day later, I can tell that there is very very little vibrations from the motor. The drivetrain is smooth as silk. :)
