did you remove that 1/2 cup thinge that the stock mount has?

it kinda hooks to the front of the subframe then cups the stock motor mount on the back 1/2.

I don't think i need to keep it with my solid mounts, but wasn't sure. seams like i can't bolt the lock nut down all the way with those cup thingies in.
No, I did not keep them. It's been fine since.

I <3 my motor mounts. If I was buying this car today, I'd never guess they were solid mounts. No vibrations, at all!

i have the VAC mounts in mine, no big issues if you have a STOCK cam.
not so much in mine camzilla makes the whole car shake at idle. it si pretty cool, you can see it from the outside of the car!

IRE Motor and tranny mounts are great for DD.

so i drove the 325 a few days ago, and the car is terrible to drive. i dont know if it's the solid motor and transmission mounts or something else, but the car is way to stiff and solid. I'm going to get an alighnment and a trip to the ring before i take the solid mounts out...

Are you using solid tranny mounts? Those are big on causing vibrations. I always used rubber on mine. I tried polyurethane tranny mounts and it was still bearable, but it's a big change already.

yes, solid motor and tranny mounts. i have the solid diff mount too, but never installed it. i'm scared too now!

also, to save me 5 minutes of searching, where did you get your e-brake? I can't get the stupid drums to engage enough to pass inspection w/ this stupid big brake kit, so i think one of those will do the trick nicely. plus i can loose a good 5 pounds of unsprug mass by removing the steel rings and all the other e-brake parts...

I use a staging brake, but it doesn't "lock" for parking. I wouldn't trust a hydraulic parking brake over a steel cable though as pressure can be reduced over time and let the car roll.

But if you're still interested. CNCBrakes.com - Staging Brake 412B

think that's true though, or just what somebodies father said who heard it from his uncle who used to sweep the shop for a grease mechanic oil and lube while he worked for peanuts to try and save up for his first cutlass supreme?

I'm not positive, but i think my wife's GTi uses the brake caliper for the e-brake, not sure if it's completely hydro though.

Unless her car has a separate caliper of it's own for the e-brake alone, I highly doubt it. She has the typical ebrake, which is a cable that manually operates the rear brake pads.

Came factory on Nissan 240sx's. Not too good for drifting though. Use them hard enough and they like to get stuck. Pretty funny to see 240sx's lock up their wheels out of nowhere on the highway driving home after a drift event :p
