3.25 LSD 160k+ miles and checked out by a shop
3.46 LSD mileage unknown, was off my friend’s e30 with S54, he put less than 1k miles during his 4 years ownership. He replaced 3.46 with 3.25.

I've been searching for a 3.25 diff. Is your a medium case? Seems like a good fit for driving around town and on the freeway. Would you be willing to ship, and, if so, what does shipping to the East Coast cost for something like that?

How do you get an E30 diff cover to work with this diff? I finally got around to installing the 3.25 diff, but the eared speed sensor disk is hitting the inside of the E30 cover. Thoughts?

Try turning sensor and plate180° or use the sensor on your diff. Let me know.

The eared disc is contacting the inside of the E30 cover, and that's before installing the white sensor onto the cover. It's metal-to-metal contact. It seems that a thicker diff cover gasket would help the disc clear the cover. Have you heard of people needing to modify the E30 cover to work with the 3.25 diff? Thanks in advance for any intel you can share.

I’ve never heard of needing any modification putting an e30 cover on an e28 diff. I’ll ask the shop if they ran into this problem before. I will get back to you.

It might be difficult. Can you get me photos of where the disc is touching the cover. You might have to take sensor out and look through the hole to see where the disc in relation to the slot on the sensor, ie left, center or right of slot. Thanks
