Feeler: GB on 4 wheel rotor package

I can put together a 4 wheel rotor package for the E30's with either slotted or slotted/drilled rotors for $125 plus shipping.

I do need at least 10 buyers to get it going.

    Rotors will be zinc plated.

For those who want to know origin of the rotors, they are typically from China, BUT, I have been using these for the past 8 years, selling over 1500 rotors with exactly 2 instances of bad metal etc. All the foundries over there are now ISO9001/14001 compliant so they have the same QA/QC programs as everyone else.

I can also supply Hawk HPS/HP+ pads for discounted pricing as well.

I think you're letting your prejudice of some previous bad parts get in the way of common sense.

I've been making brake kits for the past 10 years using these and rotors from other sources and have found NO difference in the quality of the materials. Even Brembos aren't made in Italy anymore, and even when they were they bought them from the foundry that makes the same parts for Bradi.

Why would you pay 20-40% more for a part that has the same quality?

125 for slotted at all 4 is an awesome deal... Is there an actual brand behind these? something that somebody could look up. I would only be interested in slotted... Little more info please.

Pricing details? Can we get a discount outside of the rotors?

                    Holy crap, is this Brian?

I think I might've purchased one of the first BBK kits from you for a Honduh back in the day.

This guy has been around the brake market quite a while for different cars and now BMW I see. I wouldn't hesitate buying from him.

As long as the material and metalurgy(spelling?) on the rotors are the same as the "brand" name ones, I don't see why there would be any disadvantage with these.

I know Autozone were using some real cheap $hit for awhile that would warp easily, I don't think this is the same batch or manufacturer as those.

Also, I was considering the BFC sale but the Zinc plated versions are 3 times the price of these.

Let me know if this buy happens as I'm looking for brakes very soon.

Also, any plans to introduce BBK kit for e30's? There are a couple already but healthy competition doesn't hurt. ;)

Yes it's Brian :) Glad to see someone else who has gone to rear wheel drive.

I only have 1 kit that I prototyped for my E30, a 11.75" kit using the Dynapro radial mount caliper. That's the one on the website. I designed it to fit 15" wheels, and it does fit the Tire Rack 15x8's.

I can give a discounted price for the stock brake Hawk pads:

                      HPS front $56
                      HP+ front $85

                      HPS rear $58
                      HP+ rear $86

If people want a rotor/pad package I can put those together and knock off a few more $.

Something else I can do is offer the 11" Corrado rotors machined out to fit the E30 hubs, for the RX7 caliper upgrade. I can sell those for $45 each in the plain versions.

If there is enough interest I can easily machine the brackets for the RX7 calipers as well.

I typically use 6061 T6 aluminum for all my brackets, but can check on using steel if more people want them in that material.

Let's get something going soon. I need brakes soon...

I'd be in for the Corrado/RX-7/Bracket combo.

BTW, have you tried doing any fitments with the 300zx TT calipers?

I had those at one point and were one of the lightest calipers I've felt.

There has always been intrest in the RX7 /Corrado combo, but no on has ever come through with a full package that is machined and made safely/correctly. There are brackets out there that are limited run etc.

But I would love to see a full setup, any ideas of a ball park price?

I typically sell bracket kits (brackets, bolts, etc) for $150. These are for the brackets made from aluminum; steel might be cheaper, although it will take longer to machine, which would increase the cost per piece to make, offsetting the less machine time an aluminum part would take.

I'll have to price out the 2 ways and see which is the least expensive way to go.

If we can get enough participants I can offer a significantly lower price on the bracket kit.

The 300ZX calipers are designed for a 30mm thick rotor, so they would probably be too wide to work with the Corrado rotor without using a pad spacer.

                              Brian,

I would suggest coming up with a RX7 bracket and also combo package(s) and post it up(including pricing) in a separate thread.

The market is filled with normal rotor/pad sales/specials but there is a niche for the RX7 kit since no vendor has formally put together a complete package for those yet on a big scale.

I think most people would feel safer witih steel brackets but I could be wrong.
