    New Massive 280mm kit GB

It looks like there's some interest for a new GB on the 280mm Street kit.

Regular price is $750usd including BP20 brake pads. Plus $50usd shipping.

The GB offer for 5 kits is $700usd + $50usd shipping, with BP20 pads, thin spacers and aluminum foot rest (Hartge or race model - no carpet). Add 4% Paypal fee.

If 10 kits are sold, price will be $650usd + $50usd shipping and include the same goodies. Add 4% Paypal fee.

So basically. $750usd to get it right away outside of any GB. $700usd + foot rest if 5 sets sell in the GB. $650usd + foot rest for 10 sets. End of GB is scheduled for end of September. Please copy and paste, add your name. List in non-commital until mid-September.

To verify if the kit fits your wheels, please download the profile below. Print, cut out, apply to the backside of your wheels.

    Copy and paste as usual.

Sure. How many Z1 rotors can you supply me, and at what price?

I have these on my car... sitting behind my BBS RMs with 4.5mm spacers. Its such a great upgrade. This is really all the stopping power you need with a 300hp car. No one will be disappointed.

Thanks very much for the good words. Nonetheless, I would say they are perhaps a bit optimistic. There must be a reason why Massive supplies kits with bigger rotors and calipers.
To be honest, the 280mm kit will be perfect if you want to firm up your brake pedal, improve heat management from your current brakes and improve on braking power, while having minimal clearance on your 15" wheels. Even though the Dynapro is sold as a racing caliper by many competitors (UUC, VAC, RPI), I think there are stiffer race calipers (also using thicker pads with a larger friction area) at about the same price (Superlite) which can be found on the Sport and Race kits.

Let's also keep in mind that the three targets that were set when designing this kit were a) affodable, b) major improvement on stock set-up, c) easy fit.

In clear, if your car really puts out 300hp and you track it, perhaps look into the 300x32mm Race kit. If the heavy 285hp Euro e28 M5 ran 300x28mm discs, then the extra 4mm air gap must be enough on the e30...

I think the small spacer is to make up for the thinner hat on the rotors in this kit.

Hey, are there cross drilled rotors available for these kits? Or does the loss in surface area make it a defeat the purpose?

100% correct on the first comment.

I currently offer the kit with slotted RB rotors as they have the venting from inward, which is BMW-common and allows air ducting, but an exception on VW probably because the FWD system is in the way. But the kit will fit any VW G60 rotor. I am sure you can fing drilled rotors, which would look cool on the street, but will crack easily on the track.

Is there a price for the kit, without the rotors?

I don't plan on tracking my car, but I do plan on doing an s52 w/ OBDI swap.

Thanks for the input Lee. I should have mentioned to all that my car has never seen a track. So i dont know how this kit would fair on the track for those that are interested. My car is 100% a DD, and with the amount of power i put down i am truly happy with the kit. I'll be honest though... the main reason i purchased the street kit was b/c it fit my BBS RMs (your favorite... hah). If i was making decisions on both the wheels and the brakes at the same time, then i would have opted for something bigger.

Are you running 15" BBS RMs? ET25?

I have 15" RS001 ET25 but haven't checked out the fitting template yet.

Yeah i have RM002... stock offset et33 i believe. But i'm running 1.5" lips (15x7.5) which brings them to et20.

So incl your 4.5mm spacer that takes you effective offset to et15.5?

Based on your observations do you reckon the callipers will fit the RS et25?

My back up option are the 15" x-spokes wheels although I'd much rather use the RSs...
