It's pretty hard to know what's going on with all this. Jack promised me my stuff would ship on the weekend, but I've heard nothing from him to confirm this actually happend.

Sorry, hectic weekend here. Your bent strut has turned out to be a nightmare. It was supposedly fixed but once I received it back it clearly is not. I have it at the shop and I'm working to get it into correct shape but I think I might just replace it with a known good strut. I'll have a solution for you one way or the other in the next couple days.

I'm going to ship you the rest of the stuff so you at least have all of that. That should go tomorrow.

The E30 4100 can be used in a rear coilover configuration, unlike other AST 4100 applications but it requires some additional parts. Specifically, adjusters, AST RSM's, and different rear springs (2" vs 2.25/2.5/60mm). I've never had anyone do this with a 4100 but it can be done, yes.

Just so everyone knows, this problem is entirely my fault, not Jack's. I don't want this to reflect poorly on him because i unknowingly sent him a messed up strut tube.

Perhaps this was already covered but if i already have coilovers and just wanted to upgrade my dampers could i purchase just the shocks and struts? If so how much?

Sorry, been very busy and away from the forums for awhile. Sheesh, it's August?!?!!?

You can purchase just the dampers but they are not typically drop in for struts that have been modified for use with other coilover systems, depends.

For street use, yes, not a problem for street use. You can select any spring rate you like (within reason) so softer for dedicated street use is not a problem.

Unfortunately these are backordered once again. We have them on order but I have no timing of delivery yet. Sorry.

Should have some coming in within the next week, waiting for shipment confirmation (from AST USA).

We can do pretty much any spring rate you like (and can work with you on recommendations) as we are a Swift Master Distributor...they have made springs specifically for us to our specs.
