this is correct. I was not aware that was going to happen, but i understand that IE had to make more.

I was told to expect mid-april, so i'm hoping to see it very soon.

I tt jeremy @ ireland on friday to order some random parts, and just as a sidenote i mentioned that i couldn't wait to see my stainless catback. he told me that it would be another 3 weeks at least until we could possibly get them.

i understand they were backordered, but my money has been gone now for 4-5 weeks with no product yet. i'm calling greg @ seam today to discuss this. Preordering is one thing... but over a month without shipment is another.

Haha...sounds just like Ireland. When I got my sway bars from them they were getting powdercoated and then on a forklift out back and then getting powdercoated and then on the forklift and then still in the powdercoaters and on the forklift again before finally shipping. When the sway bars got to my door they were packed in a loose box with a few newspapers and scratches all over the bars.
This theme of being at the powdercoaters and then on the forklift kept up for a month until the bars finally shipped. Same story with my buddies bars and shock tower brace. :x

i'm not so much concerned with the item being backordered; i understand how a high demand item gets met with limited supply.

I'm more concerned with how it was handled through the distributor... my card was charged without informing me, and long before the item was shipped or even before a scheduled ship date was found... like i said, i don't mind preordering but i should at least be informed when my card will be charged, etc.. i was under the impression that payment occurs when an item ships, unless otherwise notified. I let it slide, due to the excellent price, but now with a total wait time looking like more than 8 weeks i'm concerned.

I gotta agree. I would've waited until July for that price, but there was no reason for my card to be charged before they even had a clue of when they were shipping it.

The thing was mine were never backordered. They just kept bullshitting me about where my sway bars were until they finally shipped them.
