Thanks for the good info --- what happened your VIS hood? Did you get rid of it? Break it? What?

Well I just got off the phone with carbon innovations (jtrsport.com) and he basically said that our hood is a special order item, and that there is a carbon fiber shortage, so we could expect a discount of about $10 from their $650 shipped cost. So unless anyone else knows of any other distributors of the ViS hoods, I'd say that it's pretty much a bust on the group buy.

Try a fiberglass hood group buy from Ireland Engineering. I'd like to get one of there hoods for stock hinges for like $400, and I think they fit better too.

So speaking of fit, what is the best fitting, looking hood cost aside!!!

unfortunately in AZ the sun cook the crap out of it turning the resin to yellow in a summer on low $ carbon fiber and on expensive stuff it takes 2 summers to make it cloudy and yellow. that never looks cool. neither does ill fitting stuff, if you paint you can block it and fix the bad stuff.

so thats whats happening to the carbon fiber high mount on my R6. im gonna start carrying a microfiber slip to cover it before it completely gets destroyed.
