about time, I only know of one other place that makes them...
prices!!!11!!
And thats a bottom mount for the E36 I believe ;)
OK, so here's the deal. M42 Top mount tubular manifold. Available in both T3 and T4 flanges with any wastegate flange desired. (Pics of wastegate placement will be up tommorow....itll be at the rear of the collector.) Flange location allows for many turbo choices including very large units. For optimum clearence the pinch weld by the collector should be bent slightly near the collector. Its a small comprimise to allow a nice collector and relatively straight runners. Pics of that will be up tommorow as well but it can sort of be seen in the pic below.
Pricing will be $775 but I will be offering them at an introductory pricing untill January 1, 2007 for $700 shipped I can take orders immediatly and have 10 M42 head flanges in stock ready for manifold fabrication. More pics can be found in the original link now but here it is again. http://www.666fabrication.com/m42 Ordering link will be available on the website tommorow.

This particular car didnt have the a/c in it but after looking at some pics it should still fit. The lines can be tweaked and heat wrap is your friend.

From what I've seen, there is no set budget for a pseudo custom m42 turbo, since no one sells a complete kit that I know of. Since you'd be piecing the system together, probably from different sources, pricing will vary greatly. I bet someone could do the whole thing for less than $2k if they wanted to, probably a lot less if they bought used stuff. Conversely, you could spend $5k+ on getting the kit running if you use all new components, a higher end ECU system (AEM EMS or something), mandrel bent piping etc.
Either way, a manifold is sort of a key component, I hope a lot get sold and we see some boosted 318s around.
