Wondering if there is anybody out there that could get a group buy going for Koni SA top adjustables and maybe another for some IE Stage 3's? See that there has been some interest in the past. About to put these in my car, anyone have any connections to get this going?
Feeler: Can any one get a Koni/IE3 group buy going?

I love these threads.
"Hey, somebody, do a bunch of legwork to try and hustle a discount on some parts I can't afford!"
I'd like you to bust some vendor's hump and try to get 20-30 broke-ass community college kids to come up with the money for these "kits", listen to all the whiners who say:
a) I'd be in if you wait two months for my tax return; or
b) Can we get a different setup?; or
c) Count me in for sure (only they never pay); or
d) I only need part of the set, can I get a sepcial deal on that?
Then the dumb shmuck who put together the group buy spends countless hours replying to threads, PMs, emails, and then ultiamtely does not have enough people to order, or gets stuck paying extra shipping or some shit.
Then people bitch about having to wait an extra week or two to get their stuff, etc etc. etc.
Seriously, you are in LA. Call BMA, see what they will give you as their best price for the setup if you pick it up from them and live with it.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3 -

Sorry assnuts but your response was somewhat rude, your nice to me i'm nice to you, you treat me like some shit head I'll give you a middleschool insult. A response like your better off just picking it up from bma, ok. But you going on how you love these threads blah blah blah.... Sorry dave but yes I do live in LA where my monthly expenses are probably about as much as yours are living for one year in Kentucky, so yes I can afford it, just wouldn't mind saving some money. What are group buys for then? Sorry dude but you were a dick.Comment

Unless you are living in the Hills overlooking the ocean at Laguna, I doubt it.
Look, Newbie, you don't like it rough? Go and find your home at e30tech.
If you are such a baller, why are you rolling in an e30? And you want someone else to do all the legwork so you can save $20?

Well I live in the hills, Mulholland and Laurel...pretty nice area. Lets face it I could live in the dumpster at Jack and the Box and it would probably still cost more than where you live in Kentucky. What is it like $150 a month for a 6 bedroom with a pool out there?Unless you are living in the Hills overlooking the ocean at Laguna, I doubt it.

No one said I didn't like it rough pansy boy, you're the one complaining. Any day you wanna throw me some of that kentucky fried wit at me...have at it.
Never said I was a baller, don't even care to pretend that I know what one is. I roll in the E30 because I've had it since 1990 so I'm guessing your really the newbie asslips. Sorry but 3 years on a forum doesn't mean shit. Oh and I'm sorry you waste your time talking about a car that you only drive because it's what you can afford, I happen to drive mine because I like it. Just thought I'd see about a group buy and save some cash half wit.
And that comment...Eat an overtaxed, overpriced Illegal Alien dick? come on bro? Just read it, that is some of the worst shit anyone has EVER come up with? With humor like that I'm wondering if my grade school remarks were too high brow for you? That shit makes you look so dumb I think you may just need to start out at the beginning, maybe you should look into hooked on phonics and go from there?
Have fun with your e36 when you can afford it Streisand!Last edited by Fanzotti; 01-03-2007, 10:41 AM.Comment

Seriously, I will give you a day to apologize. No hard feelings if you own up to your jackassery.
You don't know me in any way shape or form yet make assumptions about me because I live in Kentucky.
If you knew anything about me, you'd know that I am one of the older guys on here, and my e30 is merely a hobby. I drive a newer Lexus on a daily basis. And when I got it a couple of years ago, I paid cash.
I have the e30 as a track car beacuse I like it, and its disposable. If I were to wad it up, I buy a new one. No biggie.
I do live in a 4000+ sq foot house. Not a mansion, but its bigger than most. And I have a vacation home in Florida as well.
I live a fairly comfortable life because I work hard and put myself through both College (on scholarships I earned) and Law School.
And as far as three years on the forum - yes, I have been here three+ years, and contribute a fair amount. No apologies from me.
You want to save money? Fine. My wife says I am five cents cheaper than WalMart, so I can appreciate that. But if you knw anything about Group Buys, you should know that with the demographic here, they are a nightmare. Most of your buyers are snot nosed kids who despite their lack of funds, are brats who want something for nothing and they want it yesterday. That or they can't keep a commitment to save their life.
So, yes, I take offense to someone, particulary a newer member, who is looking for someone else to do his grunt work so he can save a dime.
You want a group buy on these? Have at it. I sincerely wish you luck and hope your experience with it is better than most who have tried to put one together.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3Comment

? Your giving me a day to apologize for my Jack-assery? Me apologize to you? for what? Is that a threat? What are the consequences if I dont? Give me a break Goldi Locks. I'LL GIVE YOU TWENTY SECONDS TO APOLOGIZE!
Sorry Davie but all I did was put up a post about a group buy and then you assumed that I was some broke ass community college kid who wouldn't come through. If your such a great guy you could have told me as a newbie in a PM that group buys just aren't worth it or stayed out of it all together. You didn't need to assume/treat me like a "snot nose kid" when you have NO idea who I am.
First off your the one who insinuated I was a lazy broke flake. I just gave you shit cause you deserved it. Give me a break...your a tool.
Not really, Just making assumptions about you after your group buy rant and you assuming I'm another lazy broke flake. I'm sure there's plenty of Kentucky that is beautiful but I really doubt I couldn't live next to you if I can afford to live in LA.
And no offense but Lexus are overpriced Toyotas and only image concious suckers buy them....not too impressed with your "Lexus wealth"
What's sad is that your shitting on a bunch of kids who you talk to on this forum who love these cars, not because there disposable throwaways as you look at yours but because to them it's there passion. To them getting some shit part is a "biggie" daddy warbucks.
Mr. Trump....Who cares?
Sorry pal but I'm not impressed with the lawyer thing either, there a dime a dozen and most don't make as much as a ups driver.
Great, I've had an E30 for 16 years.
Well not everybody is a big shot Kentucky lawyer. You have a wife? So she doesn't mind that you have this girlfriend you talk about that mops the floors up at the rub and tugs? You want to save money? Fine. My wife says I am five cents cheaper than WalMart, so I can appreciate that. But if you knw anything about Group Buys, you should know that with the demographic here, they are a nightmare. Well Twinkle Toes I take offense to someone who thinks I'm trying to get someone to do my work for me. I'm just asking to see if getting this together was a possibility, isn't that what group buys are for?
Thanks for your blessing Mother Teresa! Why didn't you just stay out of it in the first place????
You need to go back to law school and learn how to form an argument.Last edited by Fanzotti; 01-03-2007, 11:59 AM.Comment

Thats your rebuttal? Thats all you got? Maybe you should take that money of yours and hire yourself a decent lawyer...or at least a somewhat clever writer? God I feel sorry for the sad sack that gets you as their counsel....?
I'm not gonna worry about it dave. It seems, from your advice, that getting a group buy like this together with your community, that you seem to think are losers, would be a total waste of time...just like your life.
I've decided to overpay, just so my I.Q. wont go down from having to listen to you.
Cheer up Dave and quit being a moron.Last edited by Fanzotti; 01-03-2007, 12:53 PM.Comment

Dave is right. Group buys on here are seriously a waste of time. Probably 95% of them fail.
Anyhow, you should really just call up BMA. They'll price-match anything and you can just pick it up.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

Not to pick a side but I have to agree with Dave. Group buys are not worth the time. You could have ordered the item and installed it and been playing with it while all the group buyers are waiting for that last guy to come up with the cash.
Just let Dave get it out of his system. He'll forget all about it in a couple weeks.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
